MEANING OF MYTHS, SYMBOLS AND PARABLES

WHY WISDOM IS NOT CLEAR OR DIRECT?

Wisdom is for everybody, but it is not for everybody. Wisdom comes to all human beings, but not all of them are able to understand it.
You can explain whatever you want to everybody, but we, teachers, know that not everybody understands what we explain. It takes a special faculty to grab knowledge and make it part of our life.
Well, if not everybody can understand wisdom then, how can we help those who are not able to understand it? The answer is really simple: Explain them what is enough for their level of understanding.

Obviously we can teach basic mathematics to kids, but when they are ready we can explain them algebra and later calculus and so on. The more they know the most they understand. Easy, right?

Well, MYTHS, SYMBOLS, PARABLES WERE MADE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT READY FOR THE WHOLE TRUTH; BUT THE DEEP MEANING OF THEM ARE FOR THOSE WHO ARE READY AND ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT HAT IS REAL WISDOM.

Those who are not ready for the real thing will be happy with the literal understanding without a real analysis of the meaning. Those people take everything in a literal way. They believe the planet was made in 7 days and men were created from mud just because the Bible says so. But how a planet can be created in 7 days when all the planets in the universe took millions of year to be formed? How can a toy of mud become alive? How can people believe that? Those are tales for kids. Please, note this: I AM NOT SAYING THE BIBLE IS TELLING LIES. I AM SAYING: DO NOT TAKE THE MYTHS, SYMBOLS AND PARABLES IN A LITERAL WAY. I explain some of these meaning on my blogs. Just check around and find them.

THE MATTER OF A SYMBOL, A MYTH AND A PARABLE IS THE MEANING. Symbols, myths and parables are only tools to express a high wisdom, actually I mean the original wisdom. The wisdom that ancient Masters like Buddha, Jesus, Moses, Quetzalcoatl, etc. had.

Whoever takes all these symbols in a literal way is making a huge mistake. Wisdom does not depend on interpretations. Wisdom requires a special language for those able to understand it.

Myths are talking about real things, but is a very symbolic way. Those Greek heroes are telling us about real deeds we all can do, but those monsters that were killed by Hercules, Perseus, etc. are just representations of tasks we all have to fulfill in order to get a higher level of consciousness. The serpent (My favorite symbol) has many meanings that I explain on the article: THE MEANING OF THE SERPENT (Check for link on the bottom).

Parables, myths and symbols are a language understood by...

... those who already know the language. It i simple as that. In other words, without the understanding of that special language people just guest the meaning. That could be close to the real thing and or far from it.

When the mind tries to understand what it does not know then confusion comes out. How can the mind understand what is not part of its knowledge? Well, it is not possible. A simple example: How can you understand someone who speaks a language that you do not know? There is not way. You can guess, it is true. But you can be right and you can be wrong.

I know from experience the difficulty to understand another person who cannot speak your language. I has travel to different countries worldwide. Guessing is good, but not always. How different it is when you speak to someone who speaks your language. There is not need to guess when you know the language of the other person. You just know and that it is. The same is true when you know the language of symbols, myths and parables.

THE SPECIAL LANGUAGE OF WISDOM.

There is something very simple to understand: We all want different things in life. Right? Of course, so everybody has different priorities in life, right? Yes!

Initiateds and Masters have this special language to talk secret things in public . Remember: In our modern society there is a lot of information, but most of it is far away from wisdom.

Dreams have this special language and you cannot take dreams in a literal way. Whoever has the initiated language is able to understand dreams too. Dreams have numbers, symbols, allegories, etc. What? You do not dream! It is not true. There is an area of the brain related to dreams, but usually it is not working in adults because they are worry about their problems and dreams , for them, are not important. Nevertheless, we all  have several dreams in a night. You might forget all what you dreamed, but you really dreamed.

This special language was taught in the ancient schools of mysteries. These schools were in different places of the world. Usually they were temples. Those in search for wisdom had to pass different trials to get it. Why? They were tests to verify how pure the disciple was. He/she had to have a pure heart and a pure mind.
Many of those myths are talking about those trials. Those monsters, fighting against the heroes, are representations of those trials of purification. The monsters were weakness of the disciple.

Ancient civilizations had a great wisdom, a lot greater than people might think. They left is simple symbols what science is finding in modern times. Just as en example: The Serpent. It was a symbol of the energy. Why? Because energy moves forming waves. Our ancestors new what energy was and they were using it. They new about polarities and many other things, but the great knowledge they had was left in symbols, myths and parables. These things were part of this special language.

The more we study the different civilizations the more common things among them we find.
You can find in all civilizations, among other symbols, the following:
   - The cross
   - The serpent.
   - The sacred bird.
   - The seven nagas or serpents.
   - The Dragon or Plumed Serpent.
   - The triangle and/or pyramids.
   - The monsters.
   - The heroes.
   - The gods or angels.
   - The stone.
   - The worship of the fire.
   - The four ages (Gold, silver, Cooper and iron)
   - The battle between evil and good.
   - The Prophecies.
   - The trinity.
   - The Caduceus.
   - ETC., ETC., ETC.

I explain some of those great symbols on my blogs. But my blogs are for open minded people. Fanatics will run away and it is better. Fanatic people are full of hatred. They will never understand what love is.

THE OBJECTIVE OF PARABLES, MYTHS AND SYMBOLS:

Teaching the path of perfection was the main objective of those ancient tales and symbols. You can find that in every sacred book from all the different religions of the world. The absolute truth is only one, but its manifestations are thousands. Each manifestation depends on the time, the culture and the individuality of the Master teaching what we call wisdom.
